Hi,
I am living in Qatar for about an year and I have to make application for US Visa as I will be joining as PhD student there. I am an Indian National. Where do I apply for the US Visa ? Qatar or India ? Does the place of application affect VISA accept/reject decision assuming application at any of the places is allowed by rules ? Where will I have to come to renew my VISA or any such formalities ? Does living in a middle eastern country for a short time affect your VISA accept/reject decision ? Suppose I am allowed to apply in India and I apply in India, would I need to get some approval from my employer in Qatar to apply for US Visa in India ? This is because Qatar has a bit different rules such as exit permit etc.
