Hi,
I'm applying for an F1 visa. After the interview, I'll undergo a surgery that might change my appearance considerably. (I won't have time to get my visa after the surgery. Can't meet the university deadline that way)
If my appearance changes, I know that I have to change my passport. Is that sufficient, i.e., can I travel with the new passport and the visa in the old passport? Or do I have to get a new visa as well?
In other words, at the airport do they just check for
1. Existence of valid US visa in one of the passports and
2. Match between current appearance and photo in the most recent
passport
or do they also check for
3. Match between current appearance and photo in the visa?
Thanks.
