I have both B1/2 and F1 visas and they have not expired yet. I have studied in the US from 2011 to 2013 and now having a study break for 5 months. I entered US with my b1/2 visa in Feb 2014 and decided to apply for another college. Am i eligible to complete I539 for change of status? Or it is only eligible for people who don't have an F1 visa? What should I do? If my change of status is denied, what will happen to both of my visas? Can I reenter the US with a new I20 and my current F1 visa if the case is denied? I am afraid that if the case is denied, both of my visas will become invalid even though they have not expired.
