Hi,
Brief introduction about me:
- I came to USA in January 2014 on H4 visa along with my 1 year kid.
- My husband is in second assignment in USA on H1 visa from Dec 2013. First assignment was for 8 months from Nov 2012 to Mar 2013. He has visa is till Dec '15
- I am working in India and joined my spouse on H4 in Jan 2014 taking vacation which is ending in Nov 2014
- I do not want to give up my career and want to work here in US.
- As H4 to H1 is difficult, I enrolled in the university which offers option to study a few courses through online and a few courses by going campus. ( cant afford going to campus as full time)
- I have decided to study 5 courses through online till May 2015 from India ( will return to india on November 2014) and remaining in campus. I am planning to go to campus from Aug 2015, so that if I
study two consecutive semesters in campus, I am eligible to get OPT.
Could you advise me on the following questions?
1. Will it be good to apply for change of status from H4 to F1 being is USA. Will my COS be approved without any issue?
2. Will it be good to go india and get my F1 visa approved at the consulate?
3. BASICALLY WHAT IS THAT I NEED TO BE CAREFUL OR MAKE SURE TO GET MY F1 VISA.
