Questions on F1 to L2

Hi,

I'm on my F1 Opt(17Month) Extn visa. My husband is getting transferred to US and so for similar reasons I intend to convert my OPT F1 visa to L2 with EAD.
So my question is even if I change my Visa through Change of Status while residing in US, will I require to get the Stamping done if I travel outside US, having been received L2 Visa while my stay in US ?
