I always wanted to visit the USA. Some of my friends told me about the DV lottery program. I searched the internet and found this website https://www.dvlottery.state.gov/ . I was happy about it and I have submitted for the program for only two times (at two different years) and after that I have stopped submitting anymore. Up to now, there is no problems.
My father doesn't know anything about my attempts in the DV lottery program. A few years later my father told me that he can support me to study at the USA. I wanted to study English by attending some "language training program" and at later time study for a Master's degree. I want first to study language and go back to home country, then at later time visit the USA for a Master's degree.
Some people told me that previous attempts in the DV lottery program will preclude issuing (F1) student visa for you even if your DV lottery attempts are a long time ago (last attempt was two years ago in my case). They said because DV lottery program is of immigration intent in nature, but the (F1) student visa is of a non immigration intent in nature. So your previous attempt in the DV lottery show an intention to not return back to your home country after graduation.
I was astonished by this information. How much is this information true?
If this information is really true, how can I fix my situation with F1 student visa? (I haven't apply for a visa yet)
I want to do my best to prove that I will return back to my home country. How?
