Deferring admission post F-1 visa stamping

Hello All,

Due to personal reasons, I planning to defer my Fall-14 admit to Spring-15. Will I be required to go for visa interview again or is the existing visa will be valid? I read in other forums that if I don't enter the U.S within 5 months of "date visa issued", I will LOOSE my F1 status and should go through the entire F1 Visa process again.

Guys, please advice on this!

Visa Details:-

Date Issued: 19-MAY-2014
Date of expiry: 15-MAY-2019

I20 Details:-
Date of attendence: No later than 17-Aug-2014
Expected date of completion: 30-Aug-2014
Normal duration: 2 years
