No notice of action received for my Application for EAD card

I am a F1 student and I had applied for my EAD card 3 weeks back. The application was received at the USCIS office as per the Fedex tracking number. But till now my check has not been cashed and I've also not received a Notice of Action (I-797).

What are the next possible steps? Do I need to re-apply?
