sorry for the mistake in the header... can't correct it now
Hi,
I had admits from 6 schools for Fall 2005, each had sent me their respective I20 forms.
I shortlisted one and got F1 visa for it in June. I then informed other schools that I won't be joining them.
But due to some personal reasons i had to defer my admit to Spring 2006 semester.
In november I got admit from another school for spring. I decided to join this new school and had a new visa issued for this school. but during the visa interview the consulate officer informed me that my SEVIS records say that I did not show up at the university, and hence it says I am missing! He advised me to get this entry corrected or I might face problems at port of entry.
Does anyone knows about this particular SEVIS entry? What would be the origin for this?
ALSO my new visa has notation "SEVIS OVERCOME" printed on it. Does anyone know the significance of this?
Thanks and regards.
