Can I change university after stamping visa for one university

My wife and me have applied for MS in electrical engineering and MS in biochemistry respectively for spring term 2015.We had applied taking into consideration following combinations:
1. both of us might get in same university
2. both of us might get in different universities
3. either one of us will get F1 and the other one will go on F2

so now I have got 4 accepts and my wife got 1 accept but all are different that is we didnt get in same universities so condition 2 above gets applicable.and we are still waiting for some more accepts where both of us can get in same university

i want to know:
1,If I apply for F1 visa now, and my wife also applies for F1 seperately, and say we get F1 stamped .....and in period of time suppose if we get admit in some new univesrity (both in one)..what we need to do?
2. Also if i take my wife on dependent visa F2 and than suppose if she gets admit what is the procedure to change F2 to F1

2. Yes, you can file change of status by filing Form I-539.
