Hi,
I'm in US on a F-1 student visa and working on my OPT.
I'm in the process of applying for my H1B visa, and have been asked by my employer to submit a copy of I-797 Approval of Notice, but when I was going through my documents I realized that I only have a I-797C, Notice of Action that says the following:
"
Notice Type: Receipt Notice
Your I-901 fee transmittal form has been received. Please notify us immediately if any of the above information is incorrect.
This fee payment is valid ONLY for your particular course of study or program. If you fall out of status, apply for a new F-1, F-3, M-1, M-3, or J-1 non-immigrant visa, or if you want to change your non-immigrant category to an F-1, F-3, M-1, M-3 or J-1, you may be required to pay another fee.
Application Status: F-1/M-1
Date of Birth: xxxxx
School Code: xxxx
Receipt Copy: xxxxx
Amount Received: xxxxx
"
Is this the same as I-797 Approval Notice? Can I use this in my H1B visa application as a substitute for the I-797 Approval Notice? If not, what needs to be done?
Appreciate all your help! Thanks!
