Hi, my girlfriend is:
- From Brasil
- Doing her second year in U.S. as an au pair on a J1 Visa
- Not subject to two years residency requirement
- Applying for a Master in a University in Seattle
That said and adding just as an information that I'm not a US resident, although I'm an alien with valid VISA and work permit, what would be the Best thing do to obtain an F1 and be able to travel?
- Request COS from J1 to F1 and try VISA Stamping after approval
- Try to apply directly from Brasil
In any of the previous case, would it be possible to return on the J1 in case the F1 is denied?
Honestly speaking, how much the help of an attorney could affect an approval of a F1 application done directly from Brasil?
Thank You in advance
Best,
Francesco
