    Change of status from H4 to F1 - DS-160 or I-539?

    Hi,
    I am currently on H4 VISA and intend to transfer to F1. I am currently in India and want to apply for F1 VISA and get it stamped before i go back to the US. I am confused whether to file DS-160 or I-539. Can someone please guide me with this? Please let me know if you need more information.
