F1 student rentry visa felony/misdemeanor charge, please help

I have been charged with a class 5 felony distribution to sell *********. i am really stressed to the max, what happened was i was driving and a cop stopped us and my friend was carrying 2 ounces of weed, and , he had been arrested couple of times and he begged me to take the blame said he would be done, a told me it is my first charge and it would just be a misdemeanor and would get dismissed with a lawyer and i was really stupid and since i was the one driving i believed him and told the cops it was mine, i didn't know the severity of the charge and it was going to be a felony charge after that i told him to claim the charge but he refused, a lawyer told me he would get it down to a misdemeanor charge, how bad is that, i was planning on returning back home over the summer break, would a misdemeanor conviction/charge, can i get visa with the misdemeanor conviction, that is the only thing in my mind right now, stressed to the max, any words would be helpful.
