My employer isn't doing well in the market due to which I am given an option to take a leave of absence temporarily or my boss will terminate me. I am on F-1 visa on 1-year OPT. Am I allowed to take a leave of absence on OPT? If yes, for how long and are there any complications I should be aware of? Do I need to leave US while on leave of absence on OPT?
