Laid off while on opt

I got laid off while I was on OPT.
My OPT started in June last year and used 40days of unemployment. I started working mid july and got laid of yesterday. Now I have 45days of unemployment. I might get an admission for doing my masters in May but I will go out of status from the end of March.

Is there a way to get out of this problem I am going through? Please help

i think you will have to take up some course to retain your f1 status till may

You can probably volunteer, and that will not count towards unemployment, ask your DSO. Depending on your major and the job you do, you may also be able to create an LLC and work for your own LLC, do contract work and pay yourself and that will not count toward unemployment.
