Immigration queries for returning F1 visa holder

Hi,

I am an F-1 visa holder currently pursuing graduate studies. I came to the US in August, 2014. I have a sister residing in a different state. Her son, an infant, is currently in India and I would be going there to bring him back to her. I will be flying in a couple of days and I will be out of the US during spring break.

What questions might be asked when I return to the us with my sister's son? How do I tackle these questions? Should I prepare some documentation before I leave?

You can never have too much documentation. If your sister isn't there, they'll question that right away. You should know her phone number or have it written down, maybe have a statement written down indicating she approved that you're traveling with her son (and not kidnapping him). I also don't know if he may need a visa, I recommend asking a lawyer or maybe ask the DSO at the school first since it's free.
