Hi,
I will be going to study in the US starting mid-August. In addition, I will be traveling on vacation in June-July (under ESTA). I will return to my home country in the time in-between for about 4 weeks. Because of the tight time-frame, I want to apply for my F1 visa (and have the interview) before I leave. However, I am not allowed to enter with the F1 until 30 days before my courses start. Hence, in June I MUST not enter with the F1 but with ESTA. Is there any way to avoid that the F1, which I plan on having in my passport already by then, will be activated by accidence?
