Sponsorship for Student Visa
Hello
I'm a US Citizen and employed. My niece (elder brother's daughter) is finishing up her high school in India and is interested to come to US for her Under Graduate program. She has applied to few colleges which are close to our place so she could stay with us and study here.
My question is - is it a good idea for me to provide a 'Sponsor' letter to her declaring that I'll provide necessary financial assistance to her for her studies in USA? If so, can you please guide me on the forms / letter samples that I can use to address that? Will my sponsorship be viewed negatively by colleges and US immigration?
