F-2 Visa Urgent Help

Hi,
I am a student on F1 visa, and plan to get married in a couple of weeks. I
want to apply for F2 visa for my to-be spouse, but wanted to get interview
dates before marriage. So do I fill the status as single or married while
filling the DS 160 form?
Also who is the principal applicant? is it me or is it her?
Also do I need a separate Sevis ID for my spouse, or will my sevis ID carry
over to her? Someone please help me regarding this....i am very confused and there seems to be no way to get to know the correct answers.

Why not get married before applying for your wife. What is the name on your wife passport now? How long will it take you to change it to your name? This are valid question u need to sort out first. Your wife application is independent one, where you will be refer to as principal applicant is where your school is mentioned in you wife application after your wife sevis id. I-20 number is same as sevis, there is no where you will see them asking for it as 1-20 id. Please consummate your marriage before application. It is my opinion not legal advice.
