F1 visa validity - for Phd after Masters
Hi,
I have my F1 visa till July 2016 as it says in my passport. But my OPT, to which I applied after I finished my Masters program in Sept 2013, already expired in 2014. I am back to India now and working since Nov 2013.
I now have my PhD admission from another university and am about to join for Fall 2015. I would like to know, is my F1 visa whose expiry in passport says July 2016, is still valid or not. Do I have to reapply for visa process or just renew the visa through interview waiver program dropbox. Since I had taken an OPT which is expired currently , does it even nullify the validity of my F1 visa status..
