  • Flight ticket with a F1 Visa (urgent)

    Hi everybody,
I have a F1 Visa and I was wondering if I can get to NY with a one way flight ticket or if I need a round trip ticket even if I have a VISA.
    Please let me know ASAS

I dont see the problem. Buy one way if you want one way and return if you want return. No problem at POE either way.

Visitors are adviced to carry 2 way ticket. All others it does't matter

In Russia, they did not sell me a one-way ticket. Though my I-20 was valid for 3 years, my visa was valid only for one year. It seems they are required (or prefer) not to sell one-way tickets in such cases.
Noone at the customs or in the plane asked me about the return ticket, anyway.

I have a friend in Russia. Do you know about how much it would cost to apply and complete all paperwork to visit the US, and about how much time this would take?
          Thanks
