Cap Gap Travel to India?
Hi There,
I'm in cap gap now. My H-1 got approved and my first OPT(12-Months) is expired. As my H-1 got approved I didn't file for OPT extension but I'm in Cap-Gap which means I'm still in status.
I have plans to go to India this September. I have a valid passport, cap-gap I20, I-797, Employer letter..etc.
As you know that H-1 start date is 1st of Oct which means I will be in Cap Gap till that date. I just wanted to if I could travel to India in the 1st week of sep and come back to the United States around 25th of sep, which is before the H-1 start date.
In simple words....Can I travel to India in Cap Gap period and come back before my H-1 start date??
