The good news is that I could register as part time student, and after I get my F1 visa, I can transfer to full time.
I hope this could help all F2.
    Hi,
If i register as a part-time student, do i need to pay the full tuition fee? can i get the reduced tuition advantage for graduate student assistantship, as i have full assistantship from my department.

    Thank you

I don't think you can take advantage of the assistantship on F2 but it will be best to ask the International Student Office at your school.

As far as I know from school, the part time student has to take 6 credits per semester while full time student take 9 credits per semester.

As for assistantship, you have to talk with your sponsor who provide you with that. I am not sure whether part-time student can be valid to get that assistantship.

My application is submitted on October 28 2014

My situation is so frustrating... i submitted my application in Vermont service center in October, 2014 with all required information. I was intending to start my session in Jan 2015. On October 29 2014, service center received my application. I called customer service center twice. They could not help me with any additional information other that what is on the website.

In July 2015 (after 9 months) I received a mail with Request For Evidence of my bank statement again as they were submitted on Oct 2014. I collected bank letters and statements once again and then them. Service center received them on 5th August 2015, I got the status update on 5th august on the same. On September 8, 2015, I received the same status again. Service Center is currently working on Nov 24, 2014 applications.

I am not sure what is the status of my application cause on Aug 5 and Sept 8, 2015 there was no change in status of my case. Any suggestion/advice from anyone in the forum?

                          Hi ashokf,
                          (1) No you do not need to submit original one. Its your property and you may need it in other several cases (like if you wish to go outside of USA)
                          (2) Once you have the I-20, you need to pay the sevis only one times.
                          (3) I do not understand what you mean by INR, but in your I-20, one academic year funds should show up.

                            Hi Samia,
I do not know what should i say but i know personally one person, who applied for changing visa status around october 2014 or may be in november 2014 for Spring 2015. Her case was approved on May 2015 and she started her classes in Summer 2015. Even she might not submit the financial forms properly at the beginning. USCIS sent her a message to submit the missing documents.

                            Thank you
