Can i Travel on a xerox copy of I20?

Hello All,

I am writing this post to check if I can travel on a xerox copy of I20?
I got my F1 visa issued on 13th August. But when i checked my documents, I got to know that the I20 i received back from US embassy is the xerox copy and not the original.

Now, major problem is that my travel is planned 2 days from now i.e. 27th early morning. I am trying to check with embassy but not getting any quick response.
So, please suggest if I could travel with the xerox I20?

I am really looking forward to your advice. Please suggest.
