Hi there! I was just wondering if there would be issue with the following scenario.
Scenario: A US citizen owns a small retail business and is married to his wife living here with a green card for over 2.5 years now.
Now, his wife's sister is moving in for college on an F1 Student Visa and living with them.
The sister isn't paying rent, but wants to help out in the family business without pay to help as a kind gesture in compensation.
Is this legal? If she is caught, can she get in trouble and be deported if she's helping out in a family business without pay?
Thank you for your time and any insight you might have to offer on the matter!
