  • Personal education/training beyond F1

Hi, I am an international student studying in USA with F1 visa. Besides my study, I am very interested in computer education/training to increase my skills and competency. So my question Can I take personal computer training on my own cost in any technical/private computer institute or training provider. I don't have any intention of getting degree certificate. I just want for my personal benefit. Does it violate F1 visa requirements? I haven't started yet. But I plan for it during summer. Please enlighten me in this regard. Thank you all in advance.

No it doesn't violate your F-1 status as long as you are taking a minimum of 12 SCH in any sevis school.
