  • Applying for US visa in a country different from citizenship

    Hi Experts ,

I will be applying for my US student Visa F1.

I am currently a Portuguese citizen by naturalization with an OCI living and working in India.

I was born in India and recently got a Portuguese nationality for hassel free visa travel.

    My question is :

    a) Will this pose a problem while applying from India?
    b) How will I show strong ties to India? My parents are living and run their own business in India? Additionally, my sister is in the US and she is a green card holder.

Could anyone help me out with my question?

    Thanks and Regards,
    R
