Working as an Independent Contractor - Urgent help needed

Hello all,

I am new to this form. I have a question regarding OPT. I am a recent graduate on OPT with STEM.

I just got a job offer as a contractor directly from the company so does that make me independent contractor? if so, is it allowed?
I am also going to apply STEM extension. Does it has any effect on this?
one last question, which tax from should I fill out? does company deduct directly from my paychek or do i have to file it?
