I had a question for all of you. Forgive me if this has been posted already, but I searched and didn't find anything either here or anywhere else on the internet.
I am a US citizen, and my wife is currently in F1 status, which allows her to work 20 hours per week during the school year. We would like to apply for an adjustment of status, but one of our concerns is that she might be unable to work after she files for the AOS and before the EAD arrives, as it looks like her F1 status will end as soon as the immigration department gets the application. It's really important that she's able to work, as work experience will get her a job once she gets a green card. I'm a bit worried about the EAD, as one of our friends recently applied (from visitors visa to green card through marriage) and there was an error on the EAD which made it invalid and which USCIS refused to correct. They ended up getting the green card, but the applicant was unable to work until they got their green card.
Thanks for reading this, and I appreciate any help or insight you might be able to provide!
