Hello,
I am currently in US with F-2 visa and got admission for PhD for Fall, 2016. Recently, my I-20 has been issued. And, I am thinking about getting F-1 visa stamped from Canada(not homecountry). But, I am uncertain about complication it might pose for getting visa stamped from a country outside the home country. So, I have a few questions about the process:
1.How long is the visa processing time? If it takes too much time can i comeback to stay in US and later go to pick up Visa?
2. If i get rejected can i enter US with F-2 visa?
I was wondering if anyone has experience in such situations. If so, would you please share your experience or knowledge or give me suggestions in this regard? I would truly appreciate your help.
Thanks you in advance.
