No i-20 for student visa from New Zealand
Hi there, I am very new to this!!
My daughter is going to the US (from NZ) to live with my brother (a NZ born US citizen) and his wife (a native US citizen) for 6 months. She wants to go to school over there and the local high school has said no worries, she will be living in the area. However they are not part of the SEVIS programme and cannot give me a n i-20 form. So technically i can't fill in a DS-160. At the moment I have paid for the visa, but cannot even get an interview with the US consulate in Auckland to explain our dilemma. When I ring up, I am sent to an offshore person, who tells you can;t get an interview without the i-20..........so I am stuck. Any help, I would really appreciate!! She leaves in December and is coming back to NZ at the beginning of July.
