I have summer break from my ESL courses at university. I passed my first semester. I am in good status. Now summer break. I want to go to home in Brazil for two weeks and return to USA. Too hot in Brazil for me. My classes start again in August 22 but someone said I could not return before July 22 (30 days before classes start). I thought this only applied to new students. Help! Is this correct. My school rep person wont be back til August. Help. I only want to go for 15 days... Thanks...

You are correct. If you are on an F-1 visa and you are enrolled for the next semester, you should be fine to go and come back. All the international students at my campus went home for the summer and they won't have any problems coming back in August.

Your university must have more than one person that knows about visa requirements. Find your rep's boss.
