Relatives in US

I have been admitted to UT-Dallas and my brother works there too.
I want to attend this university.
I am now in the process of applying for a F1 visa. Is it true that the fact that my brother stays in dallas works against me and my visa gets rejected?

Also, is having any relatives in US a negative point to get a visa?

I had the SAME fears as I was in the same scene. My bro working in US and I got admit in a Univ here.

So dont worry. Dont hide any info. As they have all the cross referenced data base in front of them.
