COS from H1b to F1 AFTER start date on I20
Hi all,
I am in a precarious situation, and need urgent help.
I am currently on H1b visa. I applied to the MS Analytics program at LSU and got admitted (
). The Office of Intl Students says it will issue the I-20, but the start date will be May 28th, however I will not be able to receive the I-20 before June 3rd. The classes start on June 8th. If I apply for COS from H1b to F1 on, say, June 4th, will there be any issues, as the start date on I-20 has already passed? Or does it not matter?
Also, what is the current COS processing time, any idea?
