F1 renewal on OPT
Hi! I am a F1 student working on my OPT. My visa expired in July 2015 and my company will file H1B next year (2017). My first year of OPT will end in January 2017. I want to visit my home and i am not sure what would be the right time to do that. Currently, there are 2 options that i can think of:
1. Visit home after my OPT extension is approved and apply for F1 visa renewal while i am there.
2. Wait for my H1B processing. This may take time and i am not sure if i can wait that long. And can i go visit home between the after my company files my H1B and its under processing?
Does anyone have any suggestions for this situation? I just need help to get some clarity. Thanks a lot!
