URGENT: Moving to US for my PhD on F1, to visit my brother on German Schengen Visa.
Hello all,
I am moving to US for my PhD (on TA) this August and applied for F-1 visa with my I-20 and other documents. But before I land in the US, I plan to visit my brother studying in Germany on the way and have to apply for my Schengen visa too. I have my consular interview in 2 days and so I want to ask whether there will be any other extra documents that I need to present in the interview for this purpose? I have my booked tickets ready with me by which I will be reaching Chicago on 9th Aug via Frankfurt on 4th Aug after a stay of 5 days.
Please tell me will it be okay if I make a request to the consular officer to speed up my processings so that I can get my passport back ASAP in order to apply for my Schengen visa at the earliest.
