Hi Folks
Seeking help in my case. I am currently on my 12 month OPT which expires on July 5th, 2016. I have just applied for my STEM OPT extension ( under the new May 2016, OPT Extension rules ).
I have to travel to India from July 30 and come back on Aug 27th.
By the time I arrive my current OPT would have expired and going by the current wait time for EAD processing, chances are that my EAD for OPT extension would not arrive before I leave US.
I do have
1) Receipt of STEM OPT Application
2) I-20 from school
3) F1 - Visa on Passport - vaild till July 2017
4) Letter from employer for job verification
Is there any risk while entering US while current OPT expires and STEM OPT is under processing with current document I have mentioned above ? It is urgent that I need to travel.
Are any more documents needed ?
