mistake while filling DS-156 FORM

Hi everybody,
This is chakri from hyderabad. i booked the date with us embassy on march 30th 2006. but now i got to know that i filled the passport issuance date wrong. i filled july in place of august in DS-156 form. what to do?
is it result in cancellation of my appointment? ......... while trying to modify it , it is displaying that * cannot be modified.
please any one help me, i am confused...........

try sending an email to the embassy office. their e mail ID is displayed on the same website. Why dont you cancel ur appointment and submit a fresh one, of course this is subjected to availabilty of your preferred dats.
