Urgent help: NOC for private IT company employee

My husband is in US on OPT. I am currently working in India in a private IT company. I would be going to stay at my husband's place for one month in US. For this my husband has filled for F2 Visa for me. Scheduled in last week of November.
But my current employer is denying to issue me NOC for my stay period in US.
So I want to ask is it compulsory to have NOC for private employee in Visa interview or at time of immigration ???
Or just salary certificate would be considered ??

Hi, I am facing same issue, did you face any questions regarding the NOC during interview? did you get the F2 visa without any issues...
