Hello everybody!
I have few questions that I cannot find answers to and I hope somebody will be able to help me. HEre is my story:
I am currently a Master student and will graduate in May 2017. I found a summer job for June an July and a full time job starting August 2017. I want to have my OPT starting on June 1st for the first job but it will end on May 29th, which is the end of my contract with my second employer. They usually do 10 months contract so I would need to sign a new contract to start again on August 2018. They agreed to sponsor me next year.
My question is:
If my H1B application is approved, do I have the right to sign a new contract and start working for them again on August or will I have to wait until October 1st. I am afraid to be out of status and do not quite understand what are my options once my OPT is over but I am picked in the H1B process.
