Hi Friends,
I am in U.S doing my PhD on F1. I will be getting married this december. My fiance has completed her MBBS from India and she would definitely like to apply for residency. I was just wondering if it would be a better idea to bring here on the F2 dependent's visa complete her USMLE and then apply for the residency directly, or should she apply first in some program based on F1 and comlplete her USMLE and then apply for residency? The first option seems much faster & economical, but is it possible to apply for residency while on F2? Will they convert the F2 to H1? I guess I have no idea of how it works. Thanks for your time.
