Beginning study while on OPT

Hi,

I am currently on OPT, ending in September 2017. I am applying for fall graduate programs for 2017 and am not sure about what needs to be done to start a new F-1 visa.

I know I will have to transfer my SEVIS documentation to the new school but do I need to go back to my home country to apply for a new visa or can I do it all from America?

Visa is only for entry in to the US. You need not leave the country, but will have to get a new visa stamped when you leave the country to be able to reenter.
