My wife is on a H4 and completed one year of study at UCI. She wants now to convert her visa to F1 by June 20, 2006. She just started her I-20 process at university. It may take another 20 days for getting I-20. We had paid the visa fee and have HDFC receipt ready. Can we go ahd and get the appointment without I-20.?
Second question, what is the criteria of emergency appointments.? She needs to attend an internship (part of curriculum) by June 20th. Can she get an emergency appointment (at Delhi??) for the same reason, if she has some letters from university stating the same.?
Even for emergency appointment, is an appointment needed first.? what is the procedure for emergency apptmt.?
