Working visa to F1 visa

Hello,

I am a green card holder and my girlfriend currently has a working visa.
Since I haven't been filed tax yet and we are not married, I don't think a spouse visa is an option for us.
We are not sure if she can extend her current visa at this point and she wants to study more.
Is it a good idea to change to a student visa when the current visa is expired?
Please help us to stay together here.

Your girlfriend doesn't sound like a great candidate for a student visa, but she can go ahead and try if she can't get her work visa renewed

There is "spouse visa" for spouses of permanent residents, they just get permanent residency themselves two years after you apply

This depends on how much time she has left on her current work visa. Most applications for fall 2018 programs end VERY, VERY soon (in January or February 2018)!
