I appeared for an F1 visa interview. I had a COS from H1B to F1 visa and it was approved in US one year ago and I started the PhD program. The interview went smooth. At the end, I was told that because I had COS, it will take about 5 business days for their process, after which they will send the passport via mail (bcoz I opted for mail delivery).
I did not get any pink slip, nor did I get an email to submit any more documents.
The visa status online states ?Administrative Processing?. I emailed them asking for any further documents or information needed to submit, and I was informed to wait and if the Embassy will need any documents/information, they will get in touch with me.
It's been more than a week and I am still waiting.
Is anyone aware of (or been through) such situation, and a way to resolve this case? Please advise.
