Hi. This post is to have some suggestions on my brother's change of status:
My brother who is 15 years old entered US on 12/20/2017 on B2(tourist) and his i-94 is till 6/20/2018.
On 02/01/2018 he was accepted to private school and got his i-20 that was received along with i-539 for COS by USCIS on 02/15/2018.
The start date for the school is 4/9/2018.
As of now Vermont processing center shows that they review i-539 filed as of May 7 2017.
It's 3 weeks left till school and not sure if the response will be received by the beginning of school.
What would you suggest to do as of now?
1. Should he go back to his country and try apply for F1 from there?
2. Should we try to move start date(delayed start) to September 1st, file i-539 to extend his B2 status till F1 decision is made?
Please give you experience and suggestions.
