F-1 Visa interview while spouse is on F1 OPT extension

I am currently on F1 - OPT STEM Extension and will expire on JAN 2020 and my employer filing for H1-B this year. I got married recently in JAN 2018 and My wife is planning for Master's.
She got admits from decent state universities for FALL 2018 and planning to go for visa interview in May'18.

1) Are there any chances of visa rejections since I am on OPT ?.
2) is it safe to file as single for now? If yes , Will it be any problem in future.


Please suggest.

1. Your status does not matter.
2. Do not lie. If she is not single, she shouldn't say she is single. Lying always creates huge problems down the line. And here it does not even confer any short term advantages.
