Hi all!
I?m currently a F-1 student whose trying to apply for the pre-completion OPT to the USCIS.
Here?s my timeline regarding my case:
04/30: sent all the documents to the USCIS
05/02: received an email update that telling me my case was recieved and will get transported to the POTOMAC service center
05/17: Call the USCIS customer service to request a petition for them to expedite my case process
05/21: reveiced an email update from USCIS that my request was denied.
05/22: contact local congressman and requesting a help from them regarding my case
05/29: the congressman contacted me via email asking to send all the supporting documents for them to open my case.
06/01: the congressman sent me an email that telling me that they have received all my documents and a caseworker will be assigned to work on my case.
06/05: It has been 34 days since the day USCIS received my case.
Do you guys have any idea on what should I do next instead of just waiting? I already turned down one job and will turn down another job if I don?t get the EAD card in the next 2 weeks. It?s so frustrating. HELP!
