Visa Officer: Please pass me your i20 and Passport.
Me: Mam, here are the documents.
Visa Officer: How you are going to finance your education?
Me: So, there are three things:
Firstly, I have got an education loan approved of 30 Lac i.e. 45000 dollars, which is a secured loan.
Secondly, my parents are running the business of their own and also I have been working for 5 years
so we have a total savings of 18 Lac.
Thirdly, my parents have also got assets worth 2.3 crore which includes 3 Properties, Insurance Policies, Jewellery and capital amount in the business which I can use to fund my education.
Visa Officer: What kind of business your parents do?
Me: They are into manufacturing washing soaps and Detergents.
Visa Officer: How much do they make in a month?
Me: 100000. But we have savings of 18 Lacs and other than that my parents assets worth 2.3 crore.
Visa Officer keeps on typing for sometime.
Visa Officer: You are not eligible to apply.(hands me 214b slip)
Guys, please advise in the above case as I wish to reapply for VISA and would like your suggestions for improvement.
Also, I have a second cousin in US who is a greencard holder and has pretty stable income. Is it advisable to include him as my sponsor?
